Dex, licensed building practitioner

Dex

Licensed Building Practitioner

A qualified builder with more than 20 years in building and construction, and our Licensed Building Practitioner in carpentry. Dex likes the technical side of the trade and the puzzle of getting a tricky repair right. Away from work: fishing, basketball and always learning something new.

Don, handyman maintenance tech

Don

Handyman maintenance tech

Ten years looking after Aspire homes. If it is a door, a lock, a gutter or a leak that is not plumbing, Don has fixed it a hundred times.

Ricky, maintenance tech

Ricky

Maintenance tech

Ricky ran his own property maintenance business for more than ten years before joining us. He owns rental property himself, so he knows what a repair means to the person paying for it. Off the clock: his e-bike, pub pool competitions, and time with his kids and mates.

Our story

We Started as the In-House Team for One Property Manager

Since 2015 we have looked after the repairs and upkeep for the landlords of Aspire Property Management, our sister company. That is more than 1,100 homes across Auckland, each one inspected regularly, each one with a landlord who wants to know what was done and what it cost.

That work taught us to turn up when we say we will, quote before we start, and leave a place tidier than we found it. Now we do the same for homeowners, other landlords, bodies corporate and small businesses. Aspire Property Maintenance is a separate business with its own team and vans; if you want your rental managed, that is the other Aspire.

How we work

From Your Call to a Finished Job

  1. You tell us what is wrong

By phone or the form. A photo helps but is not needed.

  2. We price it

Standard jobs are priced on the spot. Anything bigger gets a written quote before we start.

  3. We book a time

We agree a time with you before we come. Tenants are contacted directly if you prefer.

  4. We do it and tidy up

Photos of the finished work and an itemised invoice.
